BRUNY ISLAND

Access to Bruny Island is by vehicular ferry from Kettering (40km south of Hobart). Visit lasted three days, with a 5-hour walk to Cape Queen Elizabeth on the first day. Excellent accommodation (and friendly staff) in a cottage called "The Shed" at Morella Island Retreats. Second day spent sightseeing as far south as Cape Bruny Lighthouse (as far as you can go) - magnificent coastal scenery and beaches on the way. During our stay at Morella we were introduced to the "locals" Percy the Peacock and two Rainbow Lorikeet's
